A word or two on menswear blogging:
Most of us are grown-ups here. Most of us don’t like to be spoken down to. Most of us (still) have a lot to learn…and those among us that don’t think they do are likely fools.
That said, no one here is looking for a father figure. All of this posturing, and pretense of authority. All of this doling out of dos and don’ts…as if we aren’t fallible men who are plagued daily with our own measure of imperfections. It’s disingenuous. It rings hollow. And it’s unnecessary.
Do less telling. Do more showing. If people are inspired by what they see, then so be it. But please, climb off the high horse. You aren’t walking on water or parting any seas.
